The fairways make that difficult however as they are a broad leaf and are quite long making the lie in the fairway critical. Today, despite driving the ball really well, the best I have for quite a while, I just didn't draw enough good lies and as I said earlier, struggled to get the ball in the right spots on the greens. I have a great game plan for the course and feel as though I can do the job out there tomorrow. I am 4 over and the cut is around 1 over at the moment, so I figure that I really need to shoot around 4 under tomorrow with a real low round an even better option.
I have been working very hard on the mental game of late and today it came through really well. I had it fully under control out there today and particularly when I made a 7 on a par 5. Last year I would have let that get to me too much and probably compound that with another bad hole or holes. The work I have been doing with Kev on the mental side of the game had been really good and as I continue to work on that I will become a better player!! Exciting times ahead.
The great story from the day was the photo below. I ran into this guy in a donut shop and his tray was unbelievably stacked high!! When I fronted him suggesting he was a "good eater!!" in my best Korean english, he replied "no no, it's a gift!!" I laughed and asked him if I could take his photo and the photo below is the result!!!
