The course is quality and in great condition as you can see from the photos. There is a great feel around the place this yr as this tournament has been elevated to a tier one event. The course has a great mix of holes, some incredible elevation and is a spectacular viewing course for the crowds that will hopefully come out.
My preparation has been pretty good and on track. I said all along that my late start to the yr was going to mean a less than special start in Toowoomba, followed by hopefully a solid 4 days at the Vic Open which I got and then be peaking for this week.
After the practice round yesterday I was pretty stuffed as I had played 7 of the last 8 days and my day off was a full day travelling. I took my body's advice and didn't play a practice round today and instead spent the time on the putting green, chipping area and working on shot shaping on the range. I felt like it was the best practice session I have had this year so far. I feel ready to go and hope I can tighten things up this week and make the same amount of birdies but clamp down on the bogies.
Stay tuned and I will try to update each day this week right through to a win come Sunday!!
