I was 4 under for the day at the time and just 1 back of the leaders. That finished my day off and when I then missed another short 4 footer on the next for par my day was done. I rallied with a great birdie on 16 and then took it straight at the pin on the island par 3 17th with 7 iron. I just missed the putt as I did on the 18th for birdie too having to settle for a 2 under par 70 and a total of 6 under. I finished tied 2nd but certainly rue that 14th hole.
The great part of the day was that I played great, and put myself in a position to win. I didn't but even after the disappointment of 14 and 15 I simply committed to the routine as Kev would want me to and hit the shots I needed too. Having had no success up here last year it is a great feeling, even though it is the Challenge Tour and not the main tour that I have had some success and actually have some money going into my account for a change!!!!
Thanks for the messages of support, much appreciated. Home for 2 weeks now before heading to Korea and then on to the US Open Qualifying. Just building day by day and round by round!! More hard work ahead, I am very motivated at the moment, seeing improvement in ball flight and shot capability is great but seeing improved results helps too!!
