I have given my clubs a good 4 week hibernation and I am pleased to say they have woken up bright and chirpy. Like anyone a break is key and getting that scheduling right means all the difference. I know golf isn't a contact sport but it kind of is in a way. We swing the club thousands of times each year and with that comes impact, the ball and the ground. Shoulders, backs, hips, knees, elbows and wrists all rotate relentlessly on call. The body needs a break just like the footballers out there!
I have filled my few weeks off planning for the next few months and along with some serious golf to be played starting next week in the Victorian Open at 13th Beach. I have also been working hard on some off course stuff and am close to being able to announce some exciting news!! I'm looking forward to hopefully sealing these deals and bring you the news shortly.
For now I am still playing Dad, a role I absolutely love and miss to bits all year long. I am itchy though and keen as to get back to work too which is exciting. I look forward to having a number of quality work weeks again over the coming months and reaching the goals I have set myself.
I kick off next week with the Vic Open followed by the Vic PGA the week after. A week at home before the return of the Perth International followed by another week off and then the NZ Open and Qld PGA back to back to round off Feb and March. April will see my Challenge Tour season kick off in Japan and possibly another trip west for the WA Open. For all the schedule dates go check out www.pga.org.au
I hope you have enjoyed your festive season too and I look forward to having your support again in 2016!! In the mean time practice that trick shot up above!!!
