Yes you are right, two days have past since my last post. However we have only played one more round. Yesterday we had a two and a half hour delay because of frost and during the delay it actually snowed at the course!! We finally got out there but the wind was extreme and the balls wouldn't stay still on the greens. So they called us in after only 45mins and cancelled the day!
That presents a whole host of problems, namely we finish a day later making it almost impossible for me to make it home in time to play the Aus PGA. Normally that would be disappointing because of the opportunity to play for a million bucks down the Coast but this year I am 46th on the order of merit needing to stay inside the top 60 to keep my card for next year. Obviously if I don't make it back I am at the mercy of the field...a tough position to be in.
The positive news is that I have played well today and shot 2 under par to get myself inside the cut line with a round to go and also back to within 4 shots of the top 35 where I need to be by the end of the next three rounds!
So it is head down and bum up tomorrow and hopefully the following two days. After some thought today on course a few things came to me. Firstly I came to the realisation that I currently have nothing to lose because I don't have a Japanese Tour card yet....so I have nothing to lose. I also realised that along with having nothing to lose I have everything to gain...a your card on a world tour! Exciting. So then came the real gem and I would like to patent this expression..."If you fear you will steer, no fear means no steer" So that is my motto moving forward this week and also beyond. In golf I never have anything and can never lose what I don't have. So exciting to still be learning all the time and to have it all in front of me! Life is a journey and a journey I love!
