Unfortunately I woke this morning for my second round feeling like rubbish. Something upset the stomach and whatever it was it didn't go away. I struggled physically to even get around the course and felt like I went through waves of nausea and needing to "go!" Needless to say the energy was well and truly used up as I came up the last hole.
The golfing side of things however was positive. I shot another solid round of 4 under today to be equal leader after my half of the draw had completed play this morning. My mindset this week has been simple. Make your par putts and then make 4 birdie putts. Simple. Well today that is what happened. I only had to chip once and hit that shot to a foot and made par and then made 4 birdie putts to make my score.
It was another solid day of ball striking which was amazing the way I felt. A lot of the credit must go to Dr Karl Morris whom I am working with on the mental side of things and my coach Kevin Healey who together have put a process in place and that really helped today when I was feeling like rubbish. I just went through the motions and hit the ball and had no worry or fear of the outcome. It certainly got me through.
Well, rest up from here and see what the arvy boys do, hopefully I am not too far behind come the end of the day going into the weekend. You can follow the scores on the PGA website, www.pga.r
