Man was it cold today, brrrrrrr!!! It was blowing a gale and very chilly for the first round today. I actually had mittens on and a Beanie for most of the day!! The worst part about it is that it is apparently tomorrow is going to be colder and raining!!! Yes!!!
Despite the weather it was a good day, I played really nicely and despite two pretty soft bogies I managed to shoot 3 under par. A really good start to the marathon. I am placed tied 6th at the moment and if I can have 5 more rounds of 3 under I would be a very happy man!! I really like that Queen course so I guess if I can get through the two rounds on the King course ok I feel as though I may be ok. Still alot of work to do and will be just taking it one shot and one hole at a time and enjoying the journey. The funniest thing from the day today was this guy I was playing with on the first hole of the day. He holed a putt from about 25 foot on the first hole of the tournament. It was a great putt for sure but he then went on to give a huge fist pump and the equivalent "Cmonnn" in Japanese!!! It was the first hole of a 108 hole marathon!! I thought it was hilarious that he could be that pumped on the first hole, I think he is in for an emotional 6 days!! Anyway that is it for tonight, bed for an early start to round two, 90 holes to go
